Adrius - Pattern Flying Disc

An obsolete class of Flying Disc used by the Saelian Coalition during the Tebburus Unification War and suon-saelian war.
The Adrius - Pattern Flying Disc is one of the smaller crewed vehicles of its type. Armed with 12 rocket launcher tubes, 2 autocannons, and a number of flares (before the Coalition had Electromagnetic Decoy Gun technology). These could provide significant fire support and have proven largely superior to most conventional aircraft. They could hover, travel at higher speed, travel in space and were quieter. This has led them to be adopted into service and almost entirely replace conventional aircraft, at least until the HF was formed.
The vehicle was designed on the saelian - owned world of Adrius, which is where it gets its name from. These vehicles were one of the most significant contributions of this planet and led to a rapid expansion of the saelian military in both size and technology level. They are now rendered obsolete by more advanced flying discs. These were developed jointly between the Saelian Coalition and United Nations of Tebburus after the suon-saelian war which has devistated both just years beforehand. They are still seen in various museums, most commonly on Adrius, and inspire others to design more effective unes using modern technology. Using λ High-Energy Technology, more advanced flying discs remain in service and fill many roles that are hard to fill, such as roles requiring excellent speed and utility or versatility.
