Jerry Dragomir Character in These, Our Broken Roads | World Anvil

Jerry Dragomir

Jeremiah Dragomir (a.k.a. Jerry)

Jerry is the oddball of The Broken, partly because he doesn't have any psionic powers and uses Magick instead, but also because "He's just so weird!"

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Jerry seems small and spindly, but can be surprisingly strong sometimes. He doesn't have a great constitution or immune system. Slight scoliosis.

Special abilities

Magick, which means he utilizes at least one familiar. Knowing Jerry, it's probably much more than that.
Show spoiler
His companion is a rather powerful neutral spirit named Toth'dramak

Apparel & Accessories

Clothing style: odd, eclectic; usually black Goth. He paints his fingernails and toenails black. Black jeans & t-shirts if he wants to blend in more.

Specialized Equipment

He hides some magickal items on his person, like wands, crystals, candles, herbs or scrolls. He's also got a fancy ceremonial dagger somewhere.

Mental characteristics

Gender Identity

A little fluid: male/non-binary (alternates between "he/him" and "they/them" pronouns)

Sexuality

not interested
That's what he wants to believe. Maybe he's just not interested because there's nobody he considers his equal—mentally, magically, Gothicly... But who is to say what Jerry won't do for knowledge or power?

Education

University Class Emphasis: Chemistry, Astronomy, Botany

Employment

Unknown. Some rumors say he sells drugs on campus. Some speculate he works in a bookshop. But all of it is just rumor, conjecture, and hearsay.

Failures & Embarrassments

Main Character Flaws: avarice for knowledge (particularly Magick), aloof, comes off cold, calloused and unfriendly, has very little empathy

Intellectual Characteristics

The highest I.Q. of the Broken, and probably of the University.

Morality & Philosophy

Jerry might be reclusive, but he's not shy. He knows he is unique and strives to learn and gain as much power through his talent as possible. He has very little empathy, if at all, and looks down on those he considers weak-minded.   But what's most disturbing is that none of the Broken are really certain whose side Jerry is on.   Ensemble Philosophy: Cynic due to practicality, criticism, "Reason Before Honor", free of guilt in doing what's necessary, Deadpan Snarker, antagonism, prioritizes survival over other goals, skepticism, lacks compassion for people unwilling to make painful choices, disregard for social norms such as rules or politeness, questionable morality, smarts.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

to become the most powerful Magick wizard

Social

Family Ties

Jerry is an only child. He hates his parents, who are pushovers.

Social Aptitude

Aloof. Most likely an introvert since he doesn't seem to need social interaction.   Working with Others: Independent. Jerry prefers to work alone, but will work with others if it benefits him. He doesn't contribute to group consensus unless it is clearly against his interest.

Mannerisms

Always watching from the shadows, a corner, or from a distance. Very creepy.
