The Weavebreaker

Weavebreaker Rayzadora Elmara (a.k.a. Lord of Mysteries, The Scholar)

Rayzadora Amell

Only two mortals have ever become gods by their own power alone. The first, more famous god being the Stormlord Khora, and the second, less worshipped but still just as powerful, being Archmage Rayzadora. This wizard was born during Zero Year, and is most known for his advancements of the arcane schools. Such was his power that when notable spellcasters Dalibel Khilkov and Tysha Korol challenged him to a battle, the effects of the battle were enough to carve a country sized valley in the Girdellan Peaks, forming the Valley of Kings as we know it today. It was Rayzadora's genius that devised the spell responsible for The Warping, and while Khora sieged Mount Celestia and ascended to godhood, so too did Rayzadora. One particular side effect of The Warping was a permanent break in the Weave around Thelekar, and subsequently the now greatly expanded cosmos. The Archmage could feel his own magical power fading, as could any trained spellcaster across the continents. Rather than allow this grand art to be lost, he instead utilized a spell he had claimed from his multiversal travels: the Mantle of Mystra. Or rather, in this case, mantling the idea of a God of Magic, as the arcane arts of Thelekar were made specifically by mortals to combat divine spells without needing to swear allegiance to a divine.   And so, Rayzadora became the Archmage, literally creating a new divine mantle and becoming The Weavebreaker. Arcane energy given physical form swirls beneath his skin like a magic tattoo, filling his eyes like pools of water. His name is invoked in the creation of a majority of arcane devices and magical items, and though he is not often "worshipped" like other gods, he receives a similar effect every time someone gains new knowledge from his many academic writings. When called upon or witnessed in visions, the Weavebreaker chooses to appear as a Kipir, the first lifeform ever created by arcane magic. As it is one of the greatest accomplishments of arcane power in Thelekar, it only makes sense that the necessary god of magic should take such a form.
