Feraldan Freedog
Earth Pony & Pegasus rogue & warrior background
Feralden, described in detail in
the World of Thedastria, is a young nation that pony barbarians founded 400 years ago. The Alamareri tribes had come to the region long before that, but they were so fractious that it took extraordinary events for them to come together to form Feralden. Now it is a nation on the rise, hoping to build on its successes to become a great power.
Nobles rule Feralden, and the craftsponies and the priests have a powerful influence upon them. The bulk of the population, however, is made up of freeponies. As their name indicates, they are not slaves or serfs but free ponies. They are soldiers, shopkeepers, laborers, farmers, entertainers, hunters, and so on. The freeponies are not rich but they are proud and pragmatic. In Feralden, a freepony with ambition and ability can climb the social ladder and many do just that.
