Tresin
The Blooming World
The vibrant home of the Erowa, Golba and in the last 20 years; Androids. It is a large moon, the 3rd largest around the gas giant of Gilnaresand is covered in thick forests, deep rivers and lakes and several large oceans.
The species that call the planet home live in relative harmony, united in their rabid defense of their world though they often differ ideologically on how to do that. The Erowa live in hovering cities, magically powered hulks that conform to their desire to be stewards of their world without taking from it while the Forgolba live in scattered nomadic groups on the surface, living with and among the flora and fauna of the world as more direct stewards. The Androids, not needing food or water live in the spaces between and are often found in the ruined Union of Gilnares cities scattered across the surface where they take up the slow work of rehabilitating the land and removing the scars of these cities from the surface.
It was on this world that the first cracks that would result in the Dissolution appeared, spreading across the moon and beyond.
Geography
A rocky, green and relatively water rich world, Tresin is covered in various types of forest and plains with large mountain ranges that are also generally sheathed forest.
The landmass is Mega-continent with three large oceans breaking up the land and large rivers snaking across its surface stemming from lakes and springs across the world.
Forest
Trees cover much of the world, broken up by the rare meadow and sweeping areas of coastal plain and steppe. These forests range from temperate rain-forests to arctic conifer forests. There is a small band around the equator where there is enough water and warmth for sporadic rainforests to grow but as a whole the world is generally too cold to support hot forests of this nature.Plains
Found primarily around the worlds three oceans, these bands of treeless terrain can be several hundred miles thick around along the coasts. Around the equatorial oceans they are warm grasslands while around the southern edge of the temperate ocean there is a chilly steppe that covers nearly a thousand miles until it reaches the frozen southern pole.Oceans
Three large oceans break up the landmass of Tresin, two warmer temperate oceans situated near each other on the equator and a larger and colder ocean on the opposite side of the world near the southern pole. These oceans hold a lot of biodiversity and also serve as homes for small populations of Kamakiwho the Conclave of Reeds is only recently becoming aware of.Mountains
The mountains of Tresin are not the most impressive in the system but are still awe inspiring in many instances, though their white caps tend to be almost obscured by the thick pine forests covering their flanks.Ecosystem
Much of the life on this world has evolved to be arboreal, climbing adaptation is found among most of the endemic life. The ecosystem here is a vast intertwined web that is at its strongest deep within the thick forests that make up most of the surface.
Ecosystem Cycles
The world has a relatively standard rotational period but its orbit around Gilnares is remarkably slow, taking 4 years to make a full circuit. Its ecosystem and climate reflect this with a years long period of warming followed by the same amount of time cooling as it moves behind the bulk of the gas giant.
Climate
Tresin is a colder world, though this has more to do with its slower rotation time around Gilnares with the world warming during its two year span on the light side of the gas giant.
Fauna & Flora
A vast amount of Birds and arboreal creatures live on the world and its oceans are rich with life. Some megafauna live in the coastal plains but for the most part land animals tend towards the smaller side.
Natural Resources
Wood products are a huge resource, though the Conclave of Reeds has forbade all harvesting of this for the foreseeable future to allow the world to heal from what they see as the transgressions of the Union of Gilnares against their world.
Pharmaceutical extracts and plant based products and some agricultural goods are the primary exports.
Tresin orbits around Gilnares in the middle range of the orbital bodies that surround the gas giant, its larger size creating a sizable path through the detritus surrounding the planet.
The moon has a day/night cycle of 24 standard hours.
