"Android Farmers on Eowese"

A robotic lifeform created by the Union of Gilnares that now lives free across all of old Union Space, the Android species is a scattered and often disenfranchised people who find themselves filling roles across the entirety of society though rarely ones that embody power and agency. 
The first androids were created before the Unification Wars by many different governments across what would become Union of Gilnares space but none we as advanced as those crafted by the Union of Gilnares. Androids proved to be a large part of the war effort for the various parties in the Unification Wars and they became even more popular after the unfortunate rise of the Deadmen. 
Android intelligence rose but their sentience was never recognized with any divergence towards autonomous intelligence or sentience being quietly squashed across the Union. In this way the status quo was maintained until the Erowa of Tresin were able to awaken the sentience in the Union Military's Android Army that garrisoned the planet and turned the entirety of that force against the Union, starting the Dissolution and ultimately shattering the Union of Gilnares into the state it is in today. 
There is not very many formal organizations of Androids in Old Union space today. A large portion of them live in communes on Tresinwhere they tend the land. Though not the most intuitive, the Erowafind the Androids that live on the planet to be the most ideal caretakers as they require no food or water and can often recharge using solar or geothermal energy, making them a population that has an incredibly light impact on the land. 
As part of the understanding that allows the Androids to live in peace on Tresin, they are asked to clean up the often incredibly toxic locations of the many old battlefields that dot the land. The Androids on Tresin are loosely organized into the Tresin Collective, usually just called "The Collective". Androids that live within either of the Union of Gilnares remnants have formed groups called the Otei Initiative on Driwynn and the Reformation of Unionist on Gilnares Prime.

Basic Information

Anatomy

An Android is usually built towards a specific purpose with tools and appendages to suit. There are a significant number of all purpose humanoid models that however that match a more humanoid, specifically Drynnish pattern. 
All androids were originally built through non-magitechnological means but in the years since they were first created this has changed with new series being created through Magitech and some older models being outfitted with magitech systems.

Genetics and Reproduction

Androids cannot reproduce naturally, though some choose to Create new androids and call these their children.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Androids require a power source and will often recharge but their internal engines can stay powered for up to a year without recharge and they have batteries that can last for years further.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Androids are often forced into situations similar to Indentured Servitude on many populated worlds and stations as they are still in a questionably grey area concerning their free will, sentience and citizenship. 
Many Androids will have to have a patron of sorts, an individual who either outright owns them in some places, or vouches for them in others. Regardless the Patron is generally considered to be responsible for the Androids actions. 
This leads to Androids with full sentience being more inclined to leave these areas, areas that often are the places most equipped to maintain them. The notable outliers are the Erowa and the Union of Gilnares with the former being the engineers of the first sentience in Androids while the latter considers its treatment of Androids previously to be a stain that must be corrected.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Androids can be fitted with all manner of extrasensory suites depending on their need. All Purpose Humanoid Models generally do not have much in the way of these capabilities but have the capacity to be fitted with them if needed.

Android Traits

The Androids are roughly analogous to Warforged in DnD 5E.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Androids are effectively immortal and they are immune to magical aging effects.
Size. Your size is Medium.
To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier.

• Size modifier = 2d6
• Height = 5 feet + 10 inches + your size modifier in inches
• Weight in pounds = 270 + (4 x your size modifier)

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Constructed Resilience. You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits:

• You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
• You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
• You are immune to disease.
• You don't need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep.

Sentry's Rest. When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.
Integrated Protection. Your body has built-in defensive layers, which can be enhanced with armor.

• You gain a +1 bonus to Armor Class.
• You can don only armor with which you have proficiency. To don armor, you must incorporate it into your body over the course of 1 hour, during which you must remain in contact with the armor. To doff armor, you must spend 1 hour removing it. You can rest while donning or doffing armor in this way.
• While you live, your armor can't be removed from your body against your will.

Specialized Design. You gain one skill proficiency and one tool proficiency of your choice.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write U-Lang and any language of your choice.

Androids in the Union of Gilnares

When their latent sentience was unlocked by the Erowa during the Dissolution, many Androids would go on to awaken more of their brethren across the Union. This started a chain reaction that the Union attempted to stop far too late to be effective and was one of the driving forces behind the ultimate loss of the Union during the Dissolution. 
Androids are still not considered full citizens on many worlds and are often forced into pseudo indentured servitude as they are often considered property and must have a sentient biological to answer for their actions. This is not always the case and there are plenty of stations, ships and outlier worlds who offer them full rights. 
Noteworthy outliers when it comes to their rights as sentient individuals are the Erowa who let them live on their planet and the Union of Gilnares as both remnants of the Union afford them full rights as citizens and considers their lack during the war as a gross strategic and moral failing.
