Naenian Archipellago

Strange Archipel

This archipelago was one of the first new landmasses that were discovered. However, it is still not very well explored, due to its rugged terrain, and hostile natives.

Geography

The archipelago consists of four main islands, and four minor ones, not counting the many smaller islands, most of which are mere rocks sticking out from the sea. They are mountainous and densely forested. They have tropical temperatures, with high levels of moisture. The central island has a large single mountain on it, which is guarded zealously by the locals.

Locals

The archipelago is home to a type of Fae, they were first through to be a type of Elves, as fae are easily mistaken for elves, but also because they didn't follow the worlds current understanding of Fae, their behavior, or personality. However, when researched, they were confirmed be Fae. They are much more industrious and aggressive than fae tho, generally fae are known to be passive and highly social beings, who prefer to live in harmony with each other and with nature, but these fae are warriors, they live in highly organized groups, each controlling a single island, and the center island, despite being one of the smallest, is one of the most populated, this is due to their generally lower elevation, outside of the volcano.

Society

Each islands community os ruled by an elder, who answers only to their supreme leader, a being they call Skellekul. They follow a strict warrior code of strength, and cunning, they reward individuals for being the better of their peers. Each generation is raised together, they compete with each other for everything, especially status, each generation gets a certain amount of officers for the army, this is to encourage competition amongst each other, and to discourage competition with other generations. The elder is the chief officer of the eldest generation.
They farm and hunt for food, the more arible the land, the more they farm, but generally the hunting islands have produced better and stronger warriors.

Skellekul

The entity who is king of the Naenians is called Skellekul, this being is another entity entirely, it is not fae, but something far more powerful, and more ancient, a being from the beginning of time called a corrupted Onu, this was first theorized and later confirmed, as more knowledge about him was gathered.

Naenian Fae

Besides their behavior and culture, these fae also differ from the others by their appearance, they have longer canines, and bright, softly glowing, yellow eyes, with no visible pupils. They do use body paint, but only shades of red and black. Their skin colors are generally dark brown.

Clothing

They wear only the skins of the animals they hunt or livestock they farm. due to their hot climate they wear little more than loin cloths, revealing their muscular physiques, and bodypaint.

Terhikai Gate

Within the volcano lies the grand royal palace, a place of rock and intricate construction, nothing like the villages below, and in the throne room, a terhikai gate, the scholar who managed to get an audience with the king hailed from Ashernai himself, and recognized its appearance immediately.
