The Water Spirits

The Ashra, or Ashrea for plural are water elementals, they are common where there is moving water. They can be seen riding waves, playing in streams, jumping off waterfalls, or showering in them.
They have the appearance of humanoid water beings with fluid flowing features, while still coming in distinct male and female forms. They are small, smaller than even the dwarves. Seeing them swimming around your ship is said to bring good luck, but they are rather skittish, and if you disturb or startle them they will flee, They are never hostile unless attacked.
When they are seen together with light elementals, they will instinctively cause a rainbow.
