Mara
Mara , The Forgiving Embrace
Worshippers: Refugees, exiles, the poor, repentant criminals, those seeking forgiveness
The faith of Mara is widespread among the weak and downtrodden. Most often seen as a maternal figure, she is thought to give refuge to those most in need. Though oft depicted as a forgiving figure, her fierce and protective nature sometimes draws in warriors and paladins, particularly those seeking atonement.
Followers of Mara tend to find common cause with Elsaph, a nurturing deity, as well as with the solemn nature with those who follow Usul. They despise the deity known as Vashal for the corruption it spreads, as well as Aktuul for his callousness.

Tenets of Faith
Worshippers of Mara make their prayers wherever they can, and rituals performed in her name are often personal in nature, with little established ceremonies across the faithful. However, they can often be found where there are those in need of succour and protection, particularly in slums or poorer districts, where they are often seen giving relief to those who require it.
