Vashal is at their core, the embodiment of greed and selfishness. Though this nature makes them outwardly unpalatable to most, there are many who would secretly seek out their favour in hopes of being blessed in their search for power or wealth, and thus many politicians and merchants find themselves turning to the Insidious Whisper for aid.
Followers of the Insidious Whisper may sometimes find common cause with those of Nealoth, though just as often they come into conflict. The deities Aktuul and Labreth are both in direct opposition to Vashal.
