Aluthai (Aloo-thigh)

The Aluthai are a race of humanoids that achieved significant levels of magical, technological, and scientific advancement in the centuries prior to the event known as The Devastation. Legends suggest they learned the secrets of magic either from the Dragons to help in their war against the Giants, or from the gods themselves. The center of their civilization was in the lands now known as The Wild Coast, though they spread far throughout the world during their time. They are the predecessors of the people known now as the Shedai. They had a rigid caste system, with arcanists at the top and holding most positions of power. Their civilization was wiped out after The Devastation, and the humans that had formerly been their slaves would go on to form the people nowadays known as the Kingslanders, Daskari, Hylanda, and others.
