Light

A long time ago, there was another world, a shard named Titan. He was a grand world, a beautiful one, full of life and full of potential. But he was never able to fully realize his potential, because one day, he was invaded by a void goddess named Ekov, and Ekov destroyed him. She corrupted the life within him, and ripped him into pieces. One of these pieces, was Light. Light was able to escape Ekov's wrath largely unscathed, but not all the children of Titan were so lucky. She left with another, one named Vigilance, but he had been injured during the attack, he had been partially corrupted by Ekov vile influence. And for this reason it was, that he stayed close to her, so she may guide him, and help him heal. Together, they made it to a new world, a shard named Karyndae, where they found an empty planet, where they hid. They stayed hidden for many thousands of years, not noticing, and going unnoticed by, the galaxy around them, until one day, Light could sense a vile presence, one which she recognized as the presence of Ekov. The Void would invade this world too, and so, Light and Vigilance prepared. They gathered a following, a group of mortals, who formed their army, and they vowed that what happened to Titan, would not happen here as well. And to this day, Light and Vigilance fight to uphold this sacred oath.

Drovanis

The home planet of Light and Vigilance, it was once a barren and empty world, a small planet in a lifeless system, however, once light discovered the imminent arrival of Ekov, she got to work. She made allies of the mortal races of Karyndae's galaxy, and she terraformed her world to be a perfect paradise for them.

Originally, it was quite small, with weak gravity, so she gathered much nearby space debris, in the form of asteroids and other objects in the star system, and she pulled them towards her planet, using them to increase the world's mass.
She especially focused on objects with useful matter, such as water, but also different types of metals.
She kept going until her planet had an above-average gravity for an inhabited world, while still being comfortable and easy to adapt to. She then moved it closer to the system's star to give it the optimal climate, not too hot, and not too cold. Then she invited life, and encouraged it to flourish there. Under her divine guidance, it was a mere century before her world was fully covered in green.
She also made sure that the rather small moon of the planet had grown into a large and formidable one, which stabilized her planet's spin, and gave it steady day-night cycles.

In the meantime, she had been training her people, or rather, Vigilance had been doing most of the training, on one of these species' homeworlds, in preparation for the coming fight with Ekov.

The Fight

When the time came, she took over control of the central systems from the Rayth Empire, which her followers had told her was evil anyway. She took just enough to mount a strong and resilient defense against the void hordes, and she has remained there since.

The Power

Light is not of Karyndae, but she is of the source, she is a shard, and as such, she is able to create magic. However, her powers in this world are weak, and she can only do so much.

She has four main aspects of power, which she can share with her followers.

Enlightenment
This is the aspect of knowledge, she is able to share her wisdom with her followers, and allow them to get a better understanding of the world they live in.

Connection
She is able to form mental and physical links to other people, she primarily uses this to extend herself across her nation, but she can also use these connections to communicate with her subjects directly, via telepathy.

Strenght
She is not able to grant people magic, but she is able to strengthen her subjects connection to the magic of this world. She primarily uses this to give her subjects and edge in the field of magic.

The Connected

There are two main connection types that she makes regularly, which are:

The Governor Connection, which focuses on connection, with a hint of enlightenment mixed in, to make said governors more capable rulers.
The Sage Connection, which grants a better inate understanding of the path of Dedication, which is the primary magical path followed by her mages, as well as boosted strength in magic.
