Hecosa's Gate
Hecosa's Gate, otherwise known as The Gates to Rachdale, is a set of battlements set at the entrance to the city of Rachdale, capital of The Valley of Echor-neâr. Hecosa's Gate was constructed by King Puotat Nungir, the founder of Rachdale and Bamruzül. King Puotat insisted on finishing the gates before the construction of city started and the gate was finished one year before the first homes in the city were carved from the stone of the Dúrorod Mountain. Hecosa's Gate got its name after Hecosa the Cold, an Ice Drake who had lived in an icy cave at the top of the Dúrorod Mountain, attacked the unsuspecting builders of Rachdale. Hecosa the Cold had been in a deep slumber when she was awoken but the hammering and mining of her mountain home. Hecosa the Cold had been feared by the Barbaric Clans of The Valley of Echor-neâr and had not tasted the flesh of Elf or Man in hundreds of years. During this battle, Hecosa's Gate proved to hold back a fully grown Ice Drake. King Puotat Nungir was able to kill Hecosa the Cold using Uraelück's Fang.
