God of the sun and the light, Amathandir’s symbol is the blazing sun, and he is usually only depicted as such, although a few shrines depicts him as a grand angelic figure. Amathandir heralds in the new year at summers first day and the summer solstice occurs during the month of Aman. The youngest of the gods, Amathandir heralded in the new age. Despite being the youngest, he leads the celestial pantheon.
