The Church of Talons
Structure
Due to their focus of being alone their is no more organisation than what each individual makes of it.
Public Agenda
To teach the words of The Untouchable.
Assets
Perhaps 100 men at arms, 10 clerics and 12 Paladins. The Church is rather impoverished monatarially having only around 38000 gp.
Mythology & Lore
The follow the idea of the sole wanderer. Each God was preordained to be a God by the Laws of the Universe. The gaps not covered specifically by the laws needed filling and one by one the laws would manifest in such ways to conspire a Godlike being into existence.
Divine Origins
This following comes from Dangelous. It was promolgated throughout the northen mountains by the hermits that lived there. Their lives of eternal isolation given some comfort by the Goddess.
Tenets of Faith
They believe in personal responsibility and self determination. They believe that individuals must make their own path in the world regardless of the world around them. Each who does proves themselves as individuals strong enough to exist and thrive in a brutal world. They also believe in solitude preferring to separate themselves from civilisation and organisations making them usually the biggest critic to the all encompassing nature of The Steeple. Finally they believe in the principle of the Untouched which is highly disputed but the usual ideal put forward by the church is that one should not affect the world in such a way to change the normal status quo of the world. This is what engenders most it's worshipers whom are among the administrative class.
Ethics
The ethics follow a wide diverse range of interpretations as each individual has their own path to walk and will see their own nuances within the normal works.
Worship
Worship is personal but usually requires prayer alone and a sacrifice of blood, food or if possible fire.
Priesthood
Priests are ordained directly and given powers usually with some great cost as The Untouchable destroys much in her passage. Their is no hierarchy each priest acting as a church unto themselves and only taking the name of the group as a matter of convenience.
Granted Divine Powers
Many find themselves gifted with divinatory properties and many seem to fall into necromantic practices.
Political Influence & Intrigue
A rather weak and disperate voice in The Steeple altogether that accomplishes very little other than to complain and isolate themselves in greater and greater degrees.
Sects
As each priest is a church unto themselves they each would be a sect of the church if not officially recognised.
