Common Customs, traditions and rituals

The military service is expected from all of Lov. This is a direct calling, an old duty.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

A Matriarch marks a new birth with her own blood binding a newborn to the Brood.

Coming of Age Rites

As one comes of age they are taken if female and undergo the trials of becoming. This dictates if one can become a Matriarch or not.

Funerary and Memorial customs

All are burnt but a sliver of heart is retained and consumed by the Matriarch.

Beauty Ideals

The noble statuesque angels, those sharp perfect lines as if crafted by a master artisan, each bone an expression of art realised.

Gender Ideals

We are not backwards as the other races. The Mother brings life, brings the family, teaches the children and bring the future into reality. They are the leaders, they are the only ones that truly can understand the future.

Courtship Ideals

A Matriarch has the right to pick an unbonded male or lesser ranked females as concubines. The concubines can release themselves if a true pairing is reached.

Relationship Ideals

Matriarchs can have as many concubines as they desire and can increase their brood as desired.
