Being exposed to the horrors of The Last Kiss can alter the mind in unpredictable ways.

Causes

Seeing the depravity and aftermath of a victim of an individual afflicted with The Last Kiss has a small chance of infection. Witnessing the monstrosity of a victim of The Last Kiss and its rapturous ascendency of devouring another creature can trigger a despicable warping in the mind of certain creatures unlocking a deep seated need for the lifeblood of other creatures.

Symptoms

A pathological desire to consume vitae. A warping of the flesh and self mortification.

Treatment

Death is usually prescribed to the blood-addled but certain priesthoods claim to be able to assist with the breaking of the afflicteds shackles.

Prognosis

There is no real development besides the need growing and growing sometimes specialising in the type of blood desired.

Affected Groups

Males are usually afflicted at a higher rate. Those of elvish background are usually more afflicted but Drow and Half-Breeds are immune.

Hosts & Carriers

Those affected by The Last Kiss are the primary means of it emerging but if the Blood-Addled survive the affliction long enough to hunt can cause outbreaks.

Prevention

Resisting the consumption of blood when afflicted will allow one to retain their composure.

Epidemiology

Outbreaks tend to happen when less scrupulous monsters attempt to feed.
