Bloodletter's Guild

Bloodletters are a profit-hunting guild. They are surgeons and academics for hire. The only competing education would be as a Blue Surgeon, and Blue Surgeons are only present on the Wilting Spire, whereas Bloodletters have guildhalls on every spire. Bloodletters collect blood and they make tinctures. They pay for the blood and sell the tinctures. They aren’t bad, per se, but they are capitalist in the extreme. Tinctures go to the highest bidders.

Structure

Initiates wear white and full guildsmen wear red. Higher ranking guildsmen may also carry staffs, with animals atop them. Each animal indicates a mastery of some subject. So masters of many fields have staffs decorated with many different animals.

Public Agenda

Make money. Harvest blood to turn into magical/medical tinctures, to sell for profit.

Assets

Guildhall in almost every town. A university which recruits on every spire.

History

Originally devotees of Hyde, the god of Engineering. The bloodletters are a younger organization than some of the ancient guilds. Founded on Wilting Spire.
