Structure

The leader of the Olinov family holds the power and responsibility to give general direction to the Olinovs on how they will use their Power and wealth to help others. To the Olinovs, their corporate power is simply a service to the people rather than a means to acquire wealth. Thanks to the Olinovs' Legacy started by Adelaide Olinov, the position of head of the family itself holds most of the Power of the Merchant for all Olinovs.
Below the head of the Olinovs is a family council of eight Olinovs who are charged with pushing a sector of markets towards a goal that will benefit as many people as possible, often using their influence and reputation to challenge competitors in their sectors to do the same. They get their Power of the Merchant from the family head. Each member of this council is a direct descendant of Adelaide and one of her eight children, each representing one of the factions of Olinovs. The factions in turn represent a set of industry sectors and a Race of Alsatians.

1. The Adalindic, descendants of Adalinde Olinov, are charged with providing financial services at fair prices - banking, stock brokerages, insurance, loans, mortgages, and more. They also make it their mission to contract out or directly build affordable and quality residences, from single-family homes to skyscraping apartment complexes. They represent the Husky Race and are mainly Siberians.
2. The Ulrichen, descendants of Ulrich Olinov, ensure security for residential and commercial customers is of true quality, whether said security is in the form of alarm systems or trained persons. They are also often asked to provide various military assistance to governments around the world, but will only offer that of defense or deterrence and will cease operations if this offer is abused. They represent the Dobermann Race through their Pinscher lineage.
3. The Loreleian, descendants of Lorelei Olinov, provide various entertainment, hospitality, and tourism services to the world - movies, parks, hotels, casinos, pornography, and so on. They often act as PR specialists for the Olinovs and their holdings. Their Beagle lineage makes them representatives of the Hound Race.
4. The Isoardic, descendants of Isoard Olinov, produce raw food and goods made from those raw ingredients, ensuring they are of quality and well above government regulation via sustainable agriculture practices. They also dip into the restaurant and catering industries, especially assisting local cafes. Made of Retrievers, their lineage is Golden.
5. The Nicklausian, descendants of Nicklaus Olinov, extract raw resources from Phylios and the Ichian Belt. Any renewable or nonrenewable resources extracted or recycled from waste are done so to ensure long-term sustainability and minimal environmental damage - they will even revitalize the area once no more can be extracted. As Dalmatians, they represent the Race of Danes.
6. The Ostoric, descendants of Ostoria Olinov, tend to watch over manufacturing facilities. From basic lumber to advanced electronics, from simple bikes to aircraft, there is almost no industry of manufacturing where they are involved - especially if it can be recycled, scavenged, or scrapped to make new goods. They are of the Bully Race, represented by the Pits.
7. The Freidanese, descendants of Freida Olinov, participate in medical services. Whether it's running entire hospitals or producing medical equipment, medicine, and medical devices, they all happen at much more affordable prices than average - and the service is generally more caring and empathetic. Their lineage is the Fox type of Terrier.
8. The Farolfian, descendants of Farolf Olinov, have a knack for software, programs, robotics, and overall advancing technologies. They often act as the Olinovs' Research and Development team and are even outsourced by other companies. They are Border Collies and thus represent the Shepherd Race.

While each faction of the Olinovs doesn't normally interact with each other directly in an official capacity except for family gatherings, the faction leaders will hold their meetings in both the real world and The Marketspace.
