Quartz-Diamond
Quartz-Diamond is the glitziest and ritziest of the Jewel Box Pairs. It is home to the diplomats, the ambassadors of different planets, the elite and rich, the merchants, et cetera. Many a diplomatic summit has been held on QD for that reason.
Quartz tends to be the workhorse area, Diamond the residential. Quartz holds the embassies, the merchant halls, the meeting rooms, the residences of visitors, and most of the facilities for day-to-day production and upkeep of QD. Diamond has all of the rich families living there, recreational areas, residences for rich visitors, etc.
