Darrio is the self-appointed Mayor of New Avon Starport after having been appointed the role by Bua-Hio Multinational Transport and the allied Transport companies. After their eventual pull-out of New Avon, Darrio remained in charge though with only a core team of guards to support his claims.
When the Hausaga Syndicate arrived, he was chastised by citizens claiming he did nothing to protect them or assist. His absence was further aggravated by his near-immediate surrender to the invading Krasian Meritocracy soon after. He remains in control of Starport, but it is common knowledge that he is merely the political puppet and face of Krasian Meritocracy and Commander Garry Larson. Even that has waned drastically as Commander Garry Larson has made more and more direct speeches to the New Avon residents since the Residential ID rollout.
