Hausaga Syndicate
The Hausaga Syndicate is a notable entity in the Galactic Southern region of the Rim. They are classified as a criminal enterprise by Allied Terran Systems and Krasian Meritocracy.
Ships from the Syndicate have been known to raid trader ships in the Rim and have been a consistent problem for honest travelers seeking to do business in specific parts. No headquarters is known, nor are any planets officially “owned” or “protected” by them unlike other similar entities. Rather, they tend towards a “Pay to protect us from us” model but offer no such protections for their victims from others. They have been known to target tech-heavy research ships in the past as well, making them a threat to scientists as well.
They have been in conflict with the The Buccheri Family for over a decade as both organizations have solidified their power bases.
They are viewed as thugs by most and their members tend to act accordingly. It is known that they have a small stake in the Drug Industry in both U-Pens and old-Earth strains such as Cocaine, LSD, and Heroine. Little is known about their leader, known only as Ursus.
