Master Salvador misses home, and is one of the few people in the Red Academy who knows the meaning of the word "saudade". Hailing from Brazil, Amadeu left his home country for asylum as soon as his early discovery of his magical aptitudes. Son of a single father who owned a pawn shop, he discovered his uncanny magic while helping his father. Amadeu would often insist in purchasing objects of no apparent value, only to later find out that these objects had magical properties. The search for magical artifacts of any sort, if only to help protect the Veil, led Council observers directly to his door, for by his early teens Amadeu had already amassed a large quantity of enchanted objects. He was eventually offered apprenticeship, which he happily accepted, helping his father with funds when he could manage.

Magister Ineptus

Salvador's nomination to Magisterium was filled with controversy. Some Council members question it to this day, claiming that Amadeu is not a mage, but a demimage, due to his peculiar abilities and very tenuous manifestation of Mana. Defenders of his title, however, point to his status as a Hierophant. It helps that Trismegistus Noah Ashcroft, Chancellor of the Red Academy, is a long time ally and friend of Amadeu, seeing him as an equal and valuable asset in his institution.

Abilities

Master Salvador's most distinctive ability is his innate power to identify and manipulate magically enchanted objects, which has earned him his Hierophant designation and been largely responsible for his ascension in magical society. Due to his lack of more traditionally valued magical capabilities, Salvador has dedicated his life to mastering goldsmithing, gemcutting and general artisanship as well as alchemical procedures involved in the manipulation and transformation of arcane materials. Amadeu is therefore not an enchanter on his own, but knows how to use the natural magic in arcane materials to manifest his desired effects.
Amadeu walks around adorned with several rings, pendants, amulets and other trinkets that he uses for both utility and protection, earning him the nickname of "Tin Man" among academy students.
