Session 3

General Summary

December 4, 764

The Blackiron Bandits continue their attempts to catch The Exiled Outlaws on the train. Using their expertise an equipment they are easily able to get onto the train and navigate up the cars.
As they approach the front they find a man who has been gagged with a Low Magic Crystals in his mouth. As they uncover it and throw it out of the car they hear a thud above them. As they get out they see Mágos, who taunts them. At this time The Sole Frontiersman turns to kick Leon off the train, and lines in the sand are drawn.
A great battle insues. The Blackiron Bandits use great magic and weapons while The Sole Frontiersman uses his revolver to pelt into the party, and Mágos uses big damaging magic, and control of space a gravity to lift and move the players, continuously throwing them off the train, where they have to navigate back.
Ultimately Mágos lives up to his name as The Showman and creates a massive illusion of the train approaching a great mountain formation with a tunnel. As it comes near he stands up as it whisps away, gleaming in his own glory. At this moment though he is short of life, and the Blackiron Bandits are victorious, and win the battle.
Romero "Shepherd" Theriot then tries to bring back The Showman to life to interrogate, where he does learn that this was a diversion to get the party to head the wrong way and let the rest of The Exiled Outlaws continue on whatever they were doing. In his last act of magic, he casts a fireball centered on himself to go out in a blaze of glory and to try and take Romero "Shepherd" Theriot with him. This knocks out Shepard and Leon tries to bring him down into a cart when he fumbles and Shepard falls off the train. This almost kills Shepard but he was able to be stabilized and brought back onto the train in time.
After a short rest the party head towards the front of the train where they find the conductor tied and gagged freaking out. After untying him he tells them that any minute now they will collide with the train station in Wheatgrove. The party reacts accordingly and slams the break, barely avoiding a catastrophic wreck.
When they arrive they are greeted by Private Stephan and Captain James, the local Frontiersmen . They are given the information about the end of Mágos and how the The Sole Frontiersman turned on the party. Upon hearing this Captain James informs them that there are rumors that people have sympathized with The Exiled Outlaws in certain pockets, unknown to as why. He recommends they try to be cautious with who they trust from here on out. He then says he will pass on the information to HQ and get them with any new information he learns.
While in the town they meet Joseph Wheatgrain who is excited by all things wheat. He has a long talk with Romero "Shepherd" Theriot who gives him talks about the machine god, but also tips on how to improve the local tractor design. He then implements those designs overnight.

December 5, 764

Blackiron Bandits recieve a note from Captain James. It was handwritted by Brutus and is told they wiped out a Frontiersmen outpost and the sole survivor came to deliver this. The note reads: “What we have started, cannot be stopped. We are “The Jailors” now. You will stop hurting my family. I will see to that personally. Meet me in the Amberton’s fields south of your current post. “The Fallen” will not rise."
The players then get with Joseph Wheatgrain who after working on the tractor overnight tells them it will be the fastest way to get them to the Amberton's fields. They agree and ride from morning until noon where they see Brutus in a field.
