Cambions are the result of the unholy union between an incubus and a humanoid, non-demonic woman, but only if she spends her entire pregnancy in the Abyss. The energies of that plane infuse the foetus and cause her to always give birth to a male cambion instead of a half-fiend. This causes them to be inherently different from all other demons: they are born on the Abyss as infants, rather than being created fully formed from evil petitioners.
Society
The mothers of true cambions always died in childbirth in the Abyss where the child would be abused by the demons who looked down upon such children. Never accepted by either society, cambions invariably grow up bitter and twisted but, due to their powers, they often became exceptional assassins. Many though, are made ambassadors to the worshipers of various demonic powers.
Cambions excell in luring mortals to the Abyss, the only demons better at it were succubi and incubi. They then warn demons of the mortals' approach and let them do what they did best so the souls could be turned into larvae. Cambions breed true with each other, but they often prefer to seek out humanoid mates to create tiefling children.
