The Star Child

The Star Child is a story once found in an ancient grimoire by the Legion of the Star Child. Believed to be a creature born of a mortal woman, and a Star God or Star Spawn it is either to happen some time or already has. The writing of the latter is hard to translate.
In many religions & beliefs there is talk of a saviour or destroyer being born and it is suspected the story of the Star Child is the basis of it.

Summary

The story of the Star Child dates back over millions of years and rumoured to have been recorded by the Atlanteans, and the pre-destruction of Atlantis, millennia later. Written in a form of cuneiform containing a number of unique characters unknown to modern scholars. Most translations do not know whether it is a Star Spawn or Star God.
According to the story, a mortal woman will fall pregnant after encountering a creature of the Star Gods. She will be of a mortal noble family in a powerful empire, and will be her first time. The creature spends it's time seducing her initially in her dreams and teaches her the aspects to summoning it into a mortal form. During this time the creature appears as a handsome youthful male, looking to meet her in person and needing entry into her world, offering riches and immortality to her bloodline. She records her dreams & the summoning ritual on the skin of executed criminals written in the blood of children, storing it in a hidden compartment in her personal rooms. There she has a small personal chamber built, and gets a slave into the room. Using the ritual, she stabbed the slave in the back of his head with a knife made from the cartilage of a kraken.
When she spoke the ritual, the corpse of the slave cracked and split with the youth climbing up out of the remains. He approached her nd kissed her. The youth is allowed by her to stay in the room, and he seems to feast on the remains of the corpse. Over time he entertains her with a number of magic tricks and gifts, including a mark on her skin showing that she is a member of the Star Spawn cult as well as belonging to him. After a while she is seduced fully by him and falls pregnant, her parents and community is disgusted by this, and turns on her. As punishment, she was imprisoned in her rooms. During this time her pregnancy progressed, and she gave birth to a male child.
The child proves extremely gifted in magic and shows great strength of mind & power. Leading to a power struggle, he is technically next in line to the throne. This causes the problem that he soon proves that his parentage isn't human when his father breaks out of his mother's chambers, and goes on the rampage causing major damage to the nation before being destroyed by the leading mages of their people. When they see the father's true form and realising the child is not fully mortal, they seek to destroy him too. Unfortunately he has escaped when realising that they will be coming from him when his father goes on the rampage. Where he has gone is unknown.
A final passage states the ritual in detail and that no sign as to what the child was, what empire it was, where it was, and what species it involves. There is a note written later stating that this is yet to happen and gives an idea that it will happen when a new dynamic species will evolve taking over most of the world. The child will be born and will be able to choose good or evil. Whoever can get the child will be able to guide them accordingly.
According to the the Star Child will either bring great peace & prosperity, or destruction of an unimaginable scale.

Historical Basis

A number of characters have been associated as being born with otherworldly parentage, such as the Greek Demigods, Jesus Christ and others. None have such a hidden background. It is possible that this was the basis in some of these myths, legends and religious figures. It is quite specific in some ways, and others that aren't like many of the others.

"I've heard stories, and beliefs, like this all the time. Most are similar, a god coming to the world to father a child. That and the child being a great hero or villain. This can lead to all manner of cults being created.
Sadly, this one may have some truth. With the sinking of Atlantis, and the chance it may still happen, it is likely we may be still due for such a dangerous being to be born."
