Older brother of Jeremiah Clear, who was supposed to have taken over the Clear Corporation. However, he was passed over for the position by his father who'd decided that Toby "Had no head for business," because he'd pointed out that the plasma weapons they made, the Alpha 79 “Flintlock” Plasma Pistol and the Gamma 490 “Musket” Plasma Rifle were "inefficient and plain bad," and that they should develop better weapons if they wanted to remain a Defense Contractor.
