Pinnacle House
Pinnacle House is the primary private residence of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. It is located on a sea-side cliff along the coast of Malibu in the Point Dume Pinnacles, in Point Dume Nature Preserve.
The house was built for Stark, and was designed from the start to be run by JARVIS. In addition, although he has numberous back-up systems elsewhere, the mansion contains JARVIS's original hardware, and he therefore considers it his home.
In the original timeline, the house was destroyed by Aldrich Killian in 2012.
Architecture
The house was designed by architect Wallace E. Cunningham with considerable input from Stark. It was inspired by the work of John Lautner, who had designed several buildings for Howard Stark in the 1940s and 1950s.
History
The building of the house was a subject of huge controvery, as it is located in a State Park. In addition, many locals consider the contemporary design hideous, nick-naming it 'the dinner plate' for its wide flat shape.
