Glowfetchers Dreaming
Glowfetchers Dreaming is an affliction that sometimes affects those who have spent the better part of their lives working on the Spectral Plateau. It typically takes many years of daily exposure before an individual begins to develop the condition. Afflicted individuals experience very vivid dreams, often with a strong otherworldly twist. There have also been reports of suffering appearing to become translucent as they sleep, seeming to fade in and out of existence in tune with their own breathing. No cure for the condition is known, and the nature of the affliction is not well understood.
On rare occasions, afflicted individuals have become frozen mid-stride as they go about their day. Their very forms flickering momentarily before suddenly resuming normalcy. Individuals always seem to return afterwards with no ill effects, with the only known exception being Eschel Eremiah, who mysteriously vanished while communing with the Chorus Stone in 124CF.
Most of the denizens of Cerelon consider the dreaming to be an unfortunate disease. However, the Chorus of the Stones instead considers it to be a divine gift, and members of the chorus are frequently very curious about the content and nature of all dreams the afflicted might have. Some afflicted go on to join the Chorus, finding the belief that their condition is part of some cosmic gift comforting. Others find the incessant questions and requests for details tiresome and seek to avoid the questions and constant probing about their dreams
