Morrow Fae

Morrow Fae is a broad ethnic group term emcompassing the clans of the Dawn Quadrant of the Fae Realm. While these clans are not monolithic, they do have shared culture due to living in the same environment and adapting accordingly. It is difficult to consider clans as entirely separate cultural entities due to the loose social structure of fae society, thoguh they do have nuances between them.   Features shared amongst Morrow Fae are pastel skin tones in yellows, pinks, and oranges. They tend to have painted skin markings in white and near-white colors similar to their skin tones. Their hair colors tend to contrast in color, but not in shade - with pastel blues, grays, and purples. Morrow Fae are most likely to manifest time and spatial affinities, as shared by their environment.   While fae all share a pantheon, certain deities have more influence in different Quadrants than others.   There are two major clans of Morrow Fae, marking the two most common magic affinities of their clans:   Haze Morrow   Haze Morrow are most well-known for weaving - specifically of magical tapestries. They most often have skin tones in the pastel orange to pink range, with purple and gary hair color. Haze Morrow are most likely to have time affinities.    Break Morrow   Break Morrow are most well-known for ther living paintings, with abstract images that move and shift. They most often have skin tones in the pale yellow to pin range, with blue and gray hair. Break Morrow are most likely to have spatial affinities.

Culture and cultural heritage

Morrow Fae, likely due to their magical affinities, see time and space as different aspects of the same shared concept. Here and Now are considered the same, as are the questions of When and Where. Many Morrow Fae struggle with the concept of linearity - living in a land of eternal dawn, where they teleport through both time and space on a whim, the idea that anyone would be locked along one track of either is both foreign and restricting. This makes Morrow Fae the least likely to leave their home Realm - as the massive amounts of ambient magicka are what allow their warping of time and space to reach such a casual and common degree.

Common Dress code

Haze tend to wear patterened fabrics they weave for themselves, often loose and usually colorful.    Break tend to wear little in the means of clothing, preferring instead to paint their bodies - reapplying as necessary.

Art & Architecture

The tapestries of the Haze are woven from magical materials - which gives them life as they glimmer, glow, and even produce more esoteric effects. They are often made to overlap one another - hung from the braches of trees to create different images depending on the angle one views them from. Touching a Haze Tapestry can allow one to relieve the memories of the weaver. These may be the memories of the weaving itself, or memories the weaver chose to imbue into the piece. Haze often consider it as a way to get to know each other - with the spread of their territory, many only know other Haze Fae by flying through trails of their tapestries and reliving their memories.    Similarly, Haze will build hanging cloth baskets as homes - usually in the trees growing up the sides or at the peaks of their floating mountain home. Wooden hoops serve to make floors and ceilings in the cloth baskets,  and furniture is typically composed of cushions and more skeletal wooden structures.    The paintings of the Break are also made from magical materials, swirls continuing to swirl and lights shining from them. Break try to capture not the true rendering of a place, but the feelings of it - their own, or in a general sense. They will paint murals together spanning the entire underside of the floating rocks their Quadrant is known for, more social in a traditional sense than the Haze as they work together to create such massive paintings. Many also practice on smaller stone rather than canvas, and one can find these works littered about with ease.    Break tend to build homes into the sides of their mountains - using spatial magic to displace as musch stone as they need and shape it as necessary. They will cover the walls, ceiling, and floors with paintings, often leaving furnishings attached to their respective surface and covered as well.

Foods & Cuisine

Haze often eat fruits, nuts, and berries foraged near their home - with little in the way of prepation. Juices and wines are their usual drinks, most often crafted themselves.    Break enjoy communal cooking and meals with their home mates, catching birds for meat that is often roasted with spices. Their homes often have small gardens for herbs, fruits, and vegetables - also cared for communally.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

When a Haze wishes to make the in-person acquaintance of another Haze, they will leave one of their own tapestries amongst a nest of the fae they wish to meet. It will have memories of their own nest, enough to lead the fae they wish to meet along. If the other fae travels to their nest and also wishes to form an in-person acquaintance, they will leave a tapestry with memories that lead to their home. This is often considered a manner of courtship - by the Haze do not make much distinction between romantic and platonic feelings on the matter.    Break often live in small groups, feeling the paintings created by many hands along the surfaces of their homes are more vibrant than those painted by only one person. However, most will have a personal room for sleeping - if they find they have an interest in a relationship with another Break, they will invite them to paint on the surfaces of their personal room. If a strong relationship is formed, they will often shift to using the same personal room, expanded as necessary and shaped in a way that is comfortable for their relationship.
