The Nomad Federation

The Nomad Federation is a collective of nomadic fleets from across the Horizon, all of whom, in different ways, have come under increasing pressure from the aggressive expansion of other factions. They are not unified, being a jumble of different families, clans, bloodlines, alliances, and tribes. Centuries of feuds threaten to tear the Federation apart. They are also divided into different social strata with conflicting class interests.
Still, the Federation is increasing in importance. Recently they have demanded a seat on the Council of Factions, threatening to disrupt trade. Due to their large armada of ships across the Horizon, their threats are being taken seriously. Ahlam's Temple and the Draconites support their claim, having long-standing trade relationships with the Nomads. On the other hand, the Consortium and Free League are suspicious of the potential trade threats and the Legion is uneasy at their naval strength. The Zenithian Hegemony has yet to voice a public opinion.
The Nomads are most numerous in the Quadrant of the Pillar, the Rimward Reach, and Nharmada, but the salvage fleets of Odacon and clans from Melik are also represented. Some of the larger Nomad fleets include:
