Multaven College of Medicine Hospital

Located in the Provincial Municipality of Tolren, Multaven College of Medicine Hospital is one of the most prestigious and well respected academic hospitals in the whole of the Mozoroi system.

Purpose / Function

The original structure was intended as a hospital, and it continued to function as such even after it became host to the Cultum Medicinae. In modern times, the building has become a museum to the work done at Multaven Hospital and College, with the newly built Multaven Hospital Campus taking over as the site of medical healthcare.

Alterations

The majority of the alterations to the Multaven Hospital building were in the forms of new wings/buildings that expanded the structure. These helped expand the capacity of the hospital and allowed for newer equipment to be used in space custom built to house them. Eventually, the original hospital structure would be converted into a museum and a new, fully modernized hospital building would be built nearby to replace it.

History

The College was initially established as a pure hospital, called Tolren-Stol Hospital, by the venerable Archmage Multaven Kavik (whom the hospital was re-named after following his passing) in the early years of settling Mozoroi. Multaven Hospital would have likely stayed a pure hospital had it not been for the change in policy of the Tech Cults of Mozoroi. Each major Tech Cult sought a central location to use as a primary training and research center and for the Cult of Medicine (the Cultum Medicinae) they wanted a hospital to be their center headquarters. Multaven Hospital had garnered quite a lot of interest, as it was one of the more frequented hospitals due to it being established near one of the growing industrial zones near Tolren. After a long period of debate and voting, Multaven Hospital became the home of the Mozoroi Cultum Medicinae. As such, the hospital grew significantly. Between the 40th to 165th year of its operation, the hospital saw the creation of its Academic Campus, its Administration Center and a massive expansion to the hospital itself.
The original Multaven Hospital building was continually expanded over the roughly two centuries of its use before the decision was made to convert the aging hospital into a museum.
