The Family Father

Background
Vittorio Santangelo, better known as the Family Father, was a ruthless and influential mafia kingpin who rose to power in post-war Italy. With a cunning intellect and an unrivaled ability to command loyalty, he consolidated power among Italy’s fractured crime families, ultimately transforming himself into a global underworld figure. However, when Italy's law enforcement and European anti-crime agencies began to close in, Vittorio sought refuge in the budding villainous haven of New Libertalia.
Recognizing the opportunity to wield unprecedented influence, Vittorio became one of the founding members of New Libertalia's Council of Six. In this new paradise for villains, he quickly established Costa Maledetta as a hub for smuggling, black-market trade, and construction racketeering. His iron grip on the district, combined with his infamous charm and ruthless enforcement, made him a figure both respected and feared.
However, his ambition knew no bounds. Believing he could reshape New Libertalia in his image, Vittorio began conspiring against his fellow council members, intending to seize ultimate control. His betrayal was discovered by Lady Armora, who orchestrated his downfall. A carefully planned assassination, carried out by agents loyal to her and Baroness Blud, ended Vittorio’s reign. His death marked a turning point in New Libertalia's history, with his memory becoming a cautionary tale about the consequences of unchecked ambition.
  Personality
Vittorio Santangelo was the epitome of a mafia patriarch: dignified, ruthless, and unyieldingly ambitious. He operated by a strict code of loyalty and family, demanding absolute fealty from his subordinates while doling out rewards for those who served him well. Despite his calm and composed demeanor, Vittorio harbored a terrifying temper, and those who betrayed him were met with swift, merciless punishment.
While he valued loyalty, Vittorio's own ambitions often blinded him to the consequences of his actions. His relentless pursuit of power ultimately led to his downfall, as his overconfidence and hubris alienated even his closest allies. Though his death marked the end of his rule, his legacy of organized crime and his contributions to Costa Maledetta remain etched into New Libertalia’s foundations.
