Cécile Tanaka
Cécile Tanaka, was born in France in 2184. She married a British explorer Alfred (Freddie) Proudfoot, who signed up to the Jovian exploration programme in 2204 and was responsible for laying claim to several hundred asteroids which later went on to become thriving mining colonies. Cécile and Alfred lived aboard their ship the 'Bellerophon' for several decades, sending their three daughters, Sabine, Astrid, and Odette, to a boarding school on Ganymede. Freddie died in 2233 due to complications from an injury he'd received during a fight with pirates while defending one of the early mining colonies. Cécile Tanaka retired to Tellus, a small colony on the moon Ceres in the asteroid belt which held a thriving Buddhist monastery where she could practise her religion in peace.
