There is no denying that the Skyrunner Tribe are a people who love competition and challenge. The Skypath is a representation of the latter. Developed as a gauntlet meant to prove skill, and mastery over the skies this unique challenge has become a celebration of the Skyrunner way of life and a beloved observance for those not participating. While it has been known to be highly dangerous, even causing a few deaths in the past, the Skypath as a test of one's flight prowess and their relationship with their wyvern.

History

They Skypath started out simply as a game among the best fliers of the Tribe. They would challenge one another to airal tricks, dangerous maneuvers and even combat on wyvern-back to test one another. In time this grew to be a beloved tradition among the Tribe. Today it is taken on my the very best fliers of the tribe no matter their skill in combat and it is held in great esteem as a fun celebration of the Skyrunner way of life.

Execution

An individual wishing to test themselves against the might of the sky may make it known to the tribe as a whole their intent. Once this is done the tribe will gather on a set day to witness the running of the Skypath. If the individual is successful in their attempt a feast is held in their honor. If they fail at the attempt and live, they may try again no matter how many times it takes to persevere through some time will be required between each attempt to allow for recovery.

• While this is an individual contest multiple parties may run the Skypath at the same time independent of one another.

OOC

They Skypath is a D20 and Emote RP event in the form of a gauntlet. Ariel obstacles are set up for you to traverse and some will require D20 checks, others will use emotes to determine a pass or fail. The player must pass the majority of the challenges and cross the finish line while mounted in order to pass the Skypath Challange.

• The Skypath may be completed multiple times to gain the D20 rewards

• Rank Unlock- Allows the player to advance to unlock the rank of Towateke Brave as one of two rites.

Item-A totem of the Winds representing the mastery the individual has displayed over the currents of air with their Wyvern companion. Gives +1 dexterity to your Wyvern companion

A note for Druids

Druids are still able to participate in the Challange of the Skypath. The course is simply altered a bit to properly challenge a druid's ability and skill in the sky should they be using their flight form instead of a wyvern. Instead of earning points to give their wyverns they gain 3 points to spend in any Dexterity related skills/combat actions.
