Skyrunner Totem

This weighty and quite large totem is of great significance to the Skyrunner Tribe. Carved first by Nuna Skyrunner and set as a challenge to the Centaur that had started to range over the newly barren land of Desolace. Quite old and weathered from the generations it has clearly seen a great deal. The connection it represents to the past Ancestors that many totems do seems to go beyond representation for this Totem. Magic pulses through the grains of wood and light up the various paints and carved eyes of the totem. Always in the care of the current chieftain or their bloodline, this Totem is perhaps the single most important artifact that Skyrunner people have in terms of their cultural identity and history.

Significance

The totem of the Skyrunner Chieftains. Many Tauren carry ancestral totems as part of their nomadic roots. For the Skyrunner the totem represents not only the Chieftain's personal bloodline but also the tribe as a whole. Because Skyrunners believe in the idea that they are all part and one with the Chieftain it is the responsibility of the Chieftain to keep them in death as well as life. The totem is that representation.
