The Republic of Kankos
The Republic of Kankos, made up nearly entirely of Dwarves, and with a scattering of Halflings and Gnomes, keeps to itself. Their distrust of magic and the other races keeps them isolated from any nations. Demography and Population
The Kankosian Republic is primarily made up of Dwarves. About 1/4th the population is a 50/50 mix of Halflings and Gnomes. Very few non-Dwalish peoples live here, though there are some. Roughly 300 million souls owing allegiance to the Republic occupy Kankos, with roughly another 500,000 occupying various outposts on skylands surrounding Kankos.
Territories
The Republic is primarily centered on Kankos. They lay no true claim to other skylands, but have outposts on the ones nearest their home.
Military
Kankos has a formidable military. The ranks of their footmen, armed with circular shields and long spears, are incredibly well trained and implement phalanx fighting styles, often locking their shields together to form different formations. Their warships are massive iron steam machines, which weigh several hundred tons.
Foreign Relations
Distrustful of most other nations. They are on better terms with the The Federation of Free Peoples than the others. They are friendly with The Hand of Anidinth, and even allowed them to build an outpost on Kankos.
