Personal Rooms
Reserved only for those of higher standing in The Silent King's gaze, Personal Rooms are, in essence, pocket-dimensions between the The King's Realm, accessible only to whoever their owner allows entry; The Archivist, Vanessa Yovranna and King himself the only exceptions to this rule. When needed or sought after, much like most else in this aberrant plane, it’ll be found, a door emerging from one of the many bookshelves, the books themselves moving to create the outline and allow the door its appearance, etc. Keys are not physically required, but some request them for the sake of a sense of “normalcy”.
A Servant who’s been given such a Room will be able to shape it in whatever way they please, for home means something different to everybody; and this strange space is likely the closest to home they’ll ever be… In a long time, if ever. These places are meant to be personal, even if they are not JUST a room, but they do carry limitations; the one on size essentially being “not a community”. For example, a mansion with shadows of servants, clearly not real even if they look so, is feasible, but a small village is not.
However, the illusion of wildlife or passing-by strangers can be made… Even if they’ll remain just that. Illusions. And the faces of the people will be ghastly, blurry, fake. The Room cannot form illusions of named, once living or still living creatures, including beasts; just mirages of strangers. It also cannot make them, no matter their nature, form personalities or the ability to hold solid conversation. Any “creatures” within these rooms also are not under the resident’s control, acting on their own instead, though never harming the room’s owner.
Even if this world is shaped around your needs, around what you’d call home; unless you allow others entry, you’re ultimately alone. Even its magic won’t change that, very much by design.
These spaces also have no finite limit or edge, but aren’t infinite either. You cannot get lost in your own Room; in case it has woods and you decide to wander, eventually, when you realize you need to go back, when you feel the King’s calling, for your duty beckons, or maybe you literally just happened to realize… You’ll find yourself back where you started. Close to your home’s core. Close to your door.
Personal Rooms are handed out very rarely. The Archivist, and all the Overseers in exception of Ghaadlan Hel'tylass have one; Overseer Tracho’s being rather unclear due to its particular demeanor. From current lower ranks, only Otis Caravaggio is known to have one, with some suspecting Heartfelt also does.
