History

Zilvra and Divari met in some of the worst circumstances, after Divari's city was conquered by the Empire. However, Divari was willing to join the Empire, and the two quickly found that they tended to be allies on the Imperial Council. Both lacked anything like this before, and began to meet privately to discuss strategy. This lead to them becoming friends, and eventually their loneliness lead to more. Since then, they have been fiercely protective of each other, even over distances. Zilvra acts fairly affectionate with her, while Divari, scared that someone will use their relationship against them, pretends to dislike her.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

Both have suffered greatly at the hands of other planar groups, groups that were supposed to protect them. Both wish to keep others from having a similar fate.

History

Authauntyr was chosen by Divari to be bonds, due to their similar outlooks on the realms beyond. Authauntyr was at first not pleased with this arrangement, as was to be expected, but had to obey due to the Personal Deed. However, to her surprise Divari only used her rarely, mostly leaving her to her own devices unless the appearance of a dragon was needed. After learning that Divari was nearly forced into this arrangement herself, dislike turned to mild indifference, and Authauntyr chose to bide her time rather than actively rebel.

Relationship Reasoning

Divari was forced to recruit a dragon, and only invokes the bond if absolutely necessary. As such, Authauntyr views her with indifference rather than hatred. Divari quite likes the dragon, but is careful to hide this, in order to not give her enemies power over either of them.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

Both are very concerned with incursions from other realms

Divari is an 8th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). Divari has the following Paladin spells prepared:
1st level (4 slots): Wrathful Smite, Protection from Evil and Good, Shield of Faith, Cure Wounds, Alarm, Detect Magic, Command
2nd level (3 slots): Find Steed, Branding Smite, Moonbeam, See Invisibility

1/day: Thaumaturgy, Hellish Rebuke, Darkness

Aura of Protection. Whenever Divari or an allied creature within 10 feet of her must make a saving throw, they gains a +3 bonus to the saving throw.
Aura of the Sentinel. Divari and any creatures of her choice within 10 feet of her gain a +4 bonus to Initiative.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Divari fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. Divari makes three Glaive attacks. Divari may replace any or all of these with a Shortbow attack.
Glaive. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 1d10+4 slashing damage plus 4 1d8 radiant damage. When rolling damage, if you rolled a 1 or a 2, you may reroll those dice once, and must use the new roll
Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 3 1d6 piercing damage plus 4 1d8 radiant damage.
Divine Sense (4/Day). Until the end of Divari's next turn, she knows the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of her that is not behind total cover. She knows the type but not its identity. She can also sense if a place or object has been consecrated or desecrated.
Watcher's Will (1/Day). Divari can choose 3 creatures she can see within 30 feet of her. For 1 minute, she and the chosen creatures have advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.
Abjure the Extraplanar (1/Day). Each aberration, celestial, elemental, fey, or fiend within 30 feet of Divari that can hear her must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage.
A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from Divari as it can, and it can't willingly end its move in a space within 30 feet of her. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there's nowhere to move, the creature can take the Dodge action.
Smite. Immdediatly after hitting a target with an attack roll, Divari can spend a bonus action force the target to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target suffers one of the following effects of Divari's choice:

  • Blind. The target is blinded for 1 minute. The target can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
  • Shove. The target is pushed up to 10 feet away and knocked prone.

Legendary Actions

Divari can take 1 legendary action, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Divari regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Glaive. Divari makes a Glaive attack.
Watcher's Will. Divari uses the Watcher's Will action.
