Don't... look too far into my past, Historian. It's too painful for me to relate... I went through a lot back then. Why dwell on past failures when you can be making future successes?Not much is known about Ravana's early life. From what we can discern, her father and mother were hunted bandits in the mountains, leaving Ravana to fend for herself at a young age after a shootout with island militia. Ravana was taken in by militia, and was rigorously trained in archery and horseback riding by Elder Sora McLain of a small mountain village. However, she comes to prominence after the Dakuina (Great Storm), in which she assumed temporary Elder status after the storm. She led the gathering of fish and what little food she could find, but it was not enough to stop the famine and plague that followed. Thoroughly disgusted with the Noralin Kingdom's inaction, she decided to petition for redress of grievances to the king. The king basically sent a reply saying "deal with it yourselves" so Ravana agreed. She raised a makeshift bandit army, and sent a declaration of independence to the king. Fighting would rage on between her forces and Noralin for a year before she and Elder Mui agreed to compromise, petitioning for autonomy for Pakani while remaining part of Noralin. Eventually, the petition passed, and she became an elder in the Free City of Desolation.– Ravana, Bandit Commander, to her historian
