In the mountains of Pakani there had always been roving bandits. Small teams that did no good, but instead wreaked havoc on small, undefended villages. They had always been a problem, but never had they joined together under a single commander, not like this.

Mountain Bandits are your toughest breed of bandit: built and chosen by natural selection to be able to hike twenty miles, torch a village, and then repeat. They know every nook and cranny of your mountains, every secret pathway to your village: they are lurking, they are lying in wait for your village!

Career

Qualifications

There are no official qualifications, but bandits need to be able to hike dozens of miles a day, live off the land when there is no food, hide from the government, all the while raiding villages and pillaging towns.

Bandits are the leftovers of society. They are the ones that society hasn't been able to help, the ones that show how our civilization must improve. They are the catalyst for change, and they are the survivors.

The perception of bandits have changed much over history: today Ravana, Bandit Commander and others like Plerimon are honored and even deified for what they have done. In the past, however, bandits were dangerous criminals, so much that the Noralin Command killed everyone in bandit-infested regions to make sure all the bandits were dead.

History

This profession had long been a place for former convicts to regress to, as well as a darker side to the Guild of Merchant-Adventurers. However, never in history had they gathered like this: never had they banded together into an army.
