So, it's that time of the year again, huh?
This year flew by and, while progress was made, my world's foundation remains shaky at best.
WorldEmber 2022 will, hopefully, solve this, as I will focus my work in the upcoming months on the evolution of mankind through my world's 600 years of history.

Week 1

If you have more than one world setting, which one is the most important to you right now? Why?

Since Spectral Collapse is more of a "private joke" world, it becomes obvious that The Scion's Reach is my main focus here. After all, it is meant to be the foundation for my upcoming (Soon TM) book series, and perhaps even other media, should I find the time.

Which area of that world setting will allow you to achieve your goals?

To serve as the background universe of my book series, I need the Reach to be a believable and deeply interconnected world, especially since I aim to provide a story that explores numerous aspects of life in this brave new world. For this purpose, I need to clearly define the technological constraints, as well as the nations, ethnicities and their shared history to better reflect the interactions between actors.

How will it help you achieve those goals?

By establishing once and for all a stable foundation of technological, societal and historical evolution, I will have a good basis to create nations, organizations and ethnicities for my characters to interact with. The deeper the meaning and reasonning, the better and more realistic these interactions will be.
