Southbridge Market
When the sun is high in the sky, the marketplace in Underbridge is completely eclipsed by High Bridge.
Busiest at dawn when the foremen and guild representatives arrive with their carts looking to hire new labor for the day's work, and warmest at night when the central bonfire is lit and vision is swimming from the heat and alcohol. This is the center of local trade and commerce in Southbridge, and most merchants here accept Labors for their goods, a complicated venture, as their suppliers wouldn't be caught dead with such a useless limited currency.
History
The market runs along a central avenue, absolute north in Southbridge and up against the sheer cliffs that separate Southbridge from High Street. Its far west end borders the valley through Nhenan Gate, it's south west end borders Knotted Bog. The far east gate separates the slums from the swamp land that leads to The Rose Sulphur Mines. The city narrows as it travels south into the swamps, petering out into rundown shacks, most of the newly constructed as the district continues to grow like a tent city.
Nearer to Nhenan Gate and further south from the market, stands The Mausoleum beside The House of Every Delight.
