The House of Every Delight
A ramshackle tower, squat so as to support the weight, the House is a nine story structure winkingly themed around the Nine Circles of Hell. It is a brothel, a bar, a game house, a bathhouse, a fighting den, a short-stay inn, a center for music and entertainment, and the quickest and happiest way to lose every labor and good coin you own in all of Gavenlow.
The House is the sight of a handful of downtrodden laborers and compulsive gamblers and lechers who spend so much waking and sleeping free time there, they could practically call it home.
Purpose / Function
To provide Southbridge with every possible human delight.
One of its little known features and the pet project of its proprietor, is a small reading room located on the upper floors, where the Sir-Madam holds poetry readings every evening and a sermon once a week.
Architecture
The House is a gaudy mish-mash of profane and rusted materials draped with lace and silk, beads, and hammered gold gilding.
It is tall enough to sway in the breeze, built in such a way as to tower over the government's building, as if to say "this is what truly rules the people of Underbridge."
