Maunia
Maunia was a kingdom that existed in northwest Veiama before the forest. It was a Karuvian nation, with its primary industry in lumber. It had only a very small coastline due to Kaleina stretching along the coast and blocking its access. Maunia was the farthest west of the Veiamic kingdoms.
Maunia flourished for almost 800 years, its borders expanding and shrinking with the centuries. It had a diverse population, with Keitism common around Lake Hiva, the Old Religion followed in the south and east, and practices from the non-Veiamic peoples that bordered them to the west. It was unfortunately also the epicentre for the outbreak of the Forest. With the trees expanding outward from its heart, and in the early days when no one understood the dangers or how to deal with uhaaki, they were unable to survive.
The nation of Vaansiam was formed by druids in Maunia, and the current nation exists on islands in Maunia's largest lake. The rest of Maunia's territory has been entirely taken over by the forest.
