A Place Far Away

My life seems to be dull of late

It seems that I need a change of pace

I am not sure if it's chance or fate

For I will be leaving without a trace

I cannot explain this sensation I am yearning

For the first time I do not know where to go

But this journey will be something worth learning

Walking out the door is all I seem to know

But where I'm going I can not say

For there are many places and sights to see

All I know is that I can no longer stay

For my heart has begun to beat with excitement again

To walk on worn and weary roads of old

To go where I wish and not being made to do so

I do not seem to grow tired after traveling all day

My steps seem to become lighter the farther I go

As if a great burden has been lifted off of me along the way
