Biography
Marucs was the illegitimate son of Katherine and Styr Lan, who according to the legend was conceived during their brief affair, and was born in exile. He was raised in Jieanga by Katherine, and was trained in the art of warfare as part of his mother's bid for revenge against her sister. He went on to prove himself in battle again and again against Carinthe's Grynerian Army, becoming a fearsome warrior for his mother's cause. However through out his life, Marcus longed to meet his father who had remained at Carinthe's side. So when Styr petitioned Marcus for an end to the war, Marcus took the opportunity to meet his father face to face. What he had not counted upon though was the presence of his half sister, Selene. Marcus was awestruck by Selene, and the couple quickly fell in love. Despite strong opposition from Katherine, the pair were married with Carinthe's blessing, effectively ending the war and sent Katherine into exile once more. Marcus sired four children with Selene and was made head of the Grynerian Army, where he fought in two more major battles while overseeing Gryneria's conquest of the Europan wetlands.
