M'Kraath Omai (Em-Ko-Wrath-Oh-my)

Originally discovered by a crew sent by Planetary Defense to investigate an anomalous energy signature that was kicking up incredibly dangerous sandstorms in Jana . The M’Kraath Omai is the name given to the large crystal-like object formed with traces of Hikori and a material known as Omanium, which researchers have yet to truly investigate. Omanium, however, was discovered to have some form of minor gravitational and energy properties. Useful to be experimented on by meteorologists and tinkerers alike.
The large Monolith-like structure (685.5 Feet) has been on the watchlist of many enthused researchers and science vessels but due to the raging storms a security detail is necessary to even attempt traversal of such a harsh environment. Although the arid side of the planet already suffers the effects of sandstorms, the one produced by either the Monolith or the Crixalis is capable of shredding through alloys and armors not specially prepared for entering its harshness.
From the few attempts to pursue research on the object, current Mechs and Ships survive roughly 5 minutes inside the sandstorm before safety becomes detrimental. This is all ignoring the other threats to travelers, such as the Crixalis and the M'Kraath.
Crixalis, as it has been codenamed, was previously eliminated by the first mercenary squad sent to investigate M’Kraath Omai. However, it seems as though another sprouted in its place in mere weeks of the previous one’s kill. It has been reported that the new Crixalis has been identified to be much stronger, capable of cloaking itself inside the Sandstorm at will.
