Dracon Security Company

Based on the planet Jana, the Dracon Security Company (DSC) was founded by a soldier of fortune called Hayabusa Ren. The traveling mercenary secured a grant from the planetary governor to help bolster local security for Alhara and set to work on building it up. Naming it Dracon after the powerful wyverns that populate the planet, Ren sought to ensure all working for him were treated well. Any who sought work could find a place there, so long as they were willing to put in the effort and do what is required of them. Profits quickly soared and the company gained a reputation as reliable defenders of the mines and solar farms from the incredibly hostile wildlife that live on Jana.   Then, in a battle against a particularly ferocious apex beast, Ren's mech was shredded and the pilot killed soon after. After his passing, the company quickly began to fall apart as those that took over afterwards lacked the good business or military decision-making that saw the company thrive in the past. Wages stagnated and even shrunk in some cases, casualties quickly began to mount, and much of the good will that had been built up was lost. However, this would not be forever. Discontent grew and grew until, eventually, a rebellion took place within the company and those that ran it into the grown were overthrown and executed.   Now establishing themselves once more, the new generation of mercenaries seek to rebuild the company and restore it to its former glory.   The Dracon's combat strategy generally favors mixed unit tactics, seeking to cover the weak points of one another as various specializations are merged into single groups. Vehicles are commonly used by the company, with mechs being the most frequent due to its versatility and ability to easily traverse the often hostile terrain of Jana.   When the company could afford it in the past, a frequent strategy was rapid orbital deployments. Employing the group's easy access to Hikori, they would allow vehicles to freeze in space for a time before dropping down to the planet's surface as the metal's unique properties would allow it to easily survive atmospheric entry unscathed.   Dracon's base of operations is built from the remnants of an old mine that Ren had purchased in the past and converted it into a headquarters. A particularly notable feature is that the fossilized remains of a massive, ancient dragon runs through the base, with the command center being known as the "Dragon's Eye" due to one of the beast's eyes miraculously remaining preserved sitting prominently in the wall.
