The Fae Queen of Koperkria, Lady Kathrei is one of the oldest and most powerful creatures in Aydah today.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
As an Elder Fae, Kathrei is a paragon of beauty and grace, superior physically in every aspect to the human form she once held.
Body Features
Elder Fae vary wildly in appearance; most resemble a more beautiful, ethereal variant of a different variety of Fae. Kathrei resembles most closely a dryad. She most notably has a pair of tall antlers rising from her head, and hooved, goat-like lower legs. Tall and slender, Kathrei's very appearance seems to emit an aura of serenity. Notably, her right antler is broken; snapped off by the dragon Ziksatta during the attack on Donàsh Säzi one year before the present. The antler will eventually shed and regrow within the next decade, but for now it is a painful reminder to her followers of the new Dragon Crisis threatening Aydah.
Special abilities
Kathrei possesses strong powers of nature magic, bending the sylvan energies of the Fae Forests to her will, sculpting the natural landscape and shaping the weather in her vicinity. She is capable of powerful rituals, though it saps her vitality. She has an especial connection to trees and tree magic, and is capable of temporarily awakening trees into lesser treants.

Personal history
Katherine Emily Michaels was born February 2, 1996 AD in Moyie Springs, Idaho, to a family that owned a beloved local coffee shop in downtown Bonners Ferry. With her elder sister expressing more interest in the family business, Katherine instead opted to enter into a career with the Forest Service. At the moment of the Return, Katherine was driving her pickup truck from the Forest Service station in the Kootenai National Forest to her home in Moyie Springs. She emerged from the ensuing wreckage not only alive, but as an unnaturally beautiful and magically empowered being.

Mental Trauma
Despite her majestic form and incredible power, Kathrei never fully coped with her transformation. In her years as a human, she was always an anxious, quiet person by nature, and the metamorphosis did not touch the deepest facets of her psyche.
She struggles with doubts and a lack of confidence, and a complex regarding whether she is "deserving" of what essentially amounts to demigodhood. Over four hundred years, she has become adept at hiding away her insecurities from the world beneath the façade of the serene, all-knowing queen.
Morality & Philosophy
Kathrei is a deeply caring person, placing far more value on others than on herself. Generous to a fault, she has extended her support to the people of Aydah on multiple occasions, serving in many facets as the protector of Northwestern Aydah even beyond her domain of Koperkria.
